Hello! I'm Valter Dutra, founder and lead developer of Virtual Dimension, an independent game studio founded in February 2025.
The studio is built on three core principles:
1 - Gameplay: Every game I create aims to deliver fun, engaging, and memorable gameplay.
2 - Optimization: Great games should be accessible. Since I've spent most of my life using modest hardware, I believe that good optimization is just as important as good gameplay.
3 - Community: Player feedback is essential. Listening to the community helps improve every project and ensures I'm creating games people truly enjoy.
As Virtual Dimension grows, I want to build a collaborative environment where every team member can share ideas and help shape new projects. Beyond developing original games, I also plan for the studio to create mods and other content for existing games.
Although Virtual Dimension is still a small studio, I'm fortunate to have the support of talented friends who contribute in different ways. Jackson is responsible for sound design, Cauã manages marketing and the studio's Instagram and TikTok accounts, and Erick, founder of Default Level, contributes as a fellow game developer. Last but certainly not least, Antônio and Will are trusted advisors whose guidance and support have been invaluable throughout this journey. I'm truly grateful to have these people by my side, helping with development, testing, and promoting our projects.
If you'd like to follow the development of Virtual Dimension and Nexus Speed, every major milestone—from the studio's introduction to the latest updates—has been documented on my YouTube channel.
You can also find Virtual Dimension on Instagram and TikTok. While I don't post there as frequently, I occasionally share development updates, screenshots, and other behind-the-scenes content.

Nexus Speed is the first game developed by Virtual Dimension. Originally known as Project Alpha, it's an open-world racing game inspired by classics such as Gran Turismo, Need for Speed, and Midnight Club.
Rather than taking place in cities like Tokyo or Los Angeles, Nexus Speed is set in the metropolitan region of Recife, Brazil, offering a unique setting rarely seen in racing games.
The story follows a promising driver whose dream of reaching Formula 1 is shattered by a tragic accident. After losing everything, he returns to his hometown of Recife, where he becomes involved in the local street racing scene while fighting to rebuild his career and earn another chance at professional motorsport.
Since the game is set in Brazil, its vehicle roster focuses on iconic Brazilian cars instead of the models commonly featured in modern racing games. Players will also be able to ride motorcycles, adding more variety to the driving experience.
Nexus Speed is currently in active development, with the full release planned for 1–2 years after the Alpha launch. The playable Alpha will be available here on July 25, 2026. Every player who downloads it will help improve the game by testing it on different hardware and sharing valuable feedback and suggestions.
